Slug Generator
Paste one or more titles and each line becomes a URL-friendly slug instantly: accents removed (é → e), “&” spelled out as “and”, punctuation and spaces replaced by a hyphen or underscore, and everything lowercase. Set a maximum length to trim long slugs at a word boundary.

Rules
Text is Unicode-normalised (NFKD) and combining accents are dropped; ß becomes ss, æ becomes ae, ø becomes o. Anything other than a–z and 0–9 becomes the separator, repeated separators collapse, and leading or trailing separators are removed. Non-Latin scripts (for example Chinese or Arabic) are removed rather than transliterated.
Privacy
Your text is processed by a Web Worker inside the isolated tools.freetoolspro.com frame. It is not uploaded, logged or shown to advertising scripts on this page, and it is gone when you close the tab.
Common questions
Hyphens or underscores?
Google recommends hyphens to separate words in URLs; underscores are fine for file names or code identifiers.
Will it change existing URLs?
No. It only produces text; changing a live URL needs a redirect from the old address.
